Outcry as Serious Fraud Office drops Murray spending inquiry

The Serious Fraud Office has dropped its investigations into the former Waikato DHB chief Nigel Murray, saying it's too expensive to try to build a criminal case against him.

The decision's prompted an outcry from many who say it's unfair Dr Murray is escaping scot-free even though the Office deemed he had misused public money.
