Crusaders bring back horse after mosque attacks

From Morning Report, 8:21 am on 24 June 2019

The Crusaders rugby team says it brought back horses on Friday night because fans demanded it.

The Crusader horsemen had been suspended in the aftermath of the Mosque terror attacks.

Crusaders' chief executive Colin Mansbridge has defended their return saying the riders didn't wear chainmail or wield swords, instead they carried Crusaders rugby flags and the horses were adorned with the colours of the Crusaders' six provincial unions.

Colin Mansfield spoke to RNZ reporter Matthew Theunissen.
