Listening to children improves decision-making - Becroft

A new report has found adults and decision makers are too resistant to listening to children's opinions, and that needs to change.

The research by the Children's Commissioner called 'Are We Listening?' looks at how well policy makers incorporate the views of children into decisions.

The commissioner, Andrew Becroft, told RNZ youth affairs reporter Katie Doyle it is exciting leaders want to engage, but there seems to be a fear among adults about young people with ideas.
