National's housing spokesperson Judith Collins and her husband are taking legal action against a Nelson couple and the city council over damage caused by a landslip eight years ago.
Ms Collins and David Wong Tung are bringing the action as trustees of the Holly Superannuation scheme that owns a rental cottage near the Nelson waterfront.
They claim the council, and the owners of the property above their cottage are liable for damage caused by a slip during a severe storm in December 2011.
