The Takitimu District Māori Council chair Des Ratima who helped stop the 'uplift' of a six-day-old baby from its mother at Hawke's Bay Hospital last month says he's pleased there will be an inquiry.
The internal inquiry by Oranga Tamariki will be led by a yet-to-be-named independent person but will not be made public in full.
