A six-year-old Pakeha girl has been removed from her Samoan foster parents.
The couple have been repeatedly trying to become her permanent carers, but Oranga Tamariki have told them they can't because they're not of 'Eurpoean' background.
They were given just 48 hours before the child would be taken away.
Neither the girl nor the family can be named for legal reasons.
RNZ First Up presenter Indira Stewart is at the family's home.
