Immigration visa delays threatening foreign student market

From Morning Report, 8:37 am on 11 June 2019

A confidential briefing to the Immigration Minister and his officials warns visa delays are jeopardising plans to expand the lucrative foreign student market.

The warning is signed off by the Education Minister and New Zealand Education, the government agency promoting the industry.

It says polytechnics and institutes of technology expect losses of more than $33 million in fees in just the first four months of the delays.
