Publishing mosque gunman's photo - the implications

From Morning Report, 8:41 am on 7 June 2019

The High Court has lifted a suppression order that prevented news media showing images of the accused Christchurch mosque gunman, Brenton Tarrant.

Justice Mander Andrew Little said the Crown had told him the suppression was no longer needed.

Apart from Newshub, most major news outlets have not yet published pictures of his face, but Australian media have.

Dean of Canterbury University's law school, Professor Ursula Cheer, talks about the implications.
