Family of missing tramper not giving up hope

From Morning Report, 7:51 am on 7 June 2019

The family of missing tramper Darren Myers are not giving up hope of finding him a week after he went missing in the Tararua ranges.

Mr Myers left last Tuesday morning for a five-day hike from Levin to Masterton over the ranges, and his partner contacted police when he did not return home.

The search has been scaled down due to atrocious weather over the past week, but search and rescue teams are determined to find him.

Duncan Styles is Darren Myers' brother-in-law and spoke to Corin Dann.
