Safer roads possible without dropping speed limits - National

The National Party's transport spokesperson is advising the government to enforce current road safety laws rather than to reduce speed limits across the country.

The Transport Agency tool Mega Maps, suggests that most 100km/h roads should be limited to 80 or 60km/h on some roads.

Paul Goldsmith told RNZ transport reporter Ben Strang more can be done to make driving safer without impacting on ordinary New Zealanders trying to get about their lives.
