Venice cruise crash: NZ victim's daughter wants parents home

The daughter of the New Zealand woman injured when a cruise ship crashed into a tourist boat in Italy says she justs wants her parents home.

Hamilton couple Colin and Joy Milmine were on board the River Countess when the out of control 13-decker MSC Opera slammed into the dock and the much smaller riverboat in Venice on Sunday.

Mrs Milmine - one of four people injured - is currently recovering in hospital with a broken shoulder, awaiting surgery.

Her daughter Bronwyn Hutching told RNZ reporter Chen Liu that her mum and dad had only been away for about two weeks when she received an urgent phone call at the weekend.
