Parents bracing for more teacher strikes

Parents are bracing for more teacher strikes if the threatened action continues.

Nearly 50,000 teachers and principals went on strike nationwide on Wednesday - in the New Zealand's largest-ever industrial action.

RNZ spoke to parents and teachers in Auckland, many of whom were generally supportive of the mega-strike even while they had to cope with schools being shut and kids at home.
