The Treasury has called in the police to investigate what they are calling a deliberate and systematic hack of the Budget documents on its website.
The Finance Minister and the Opposition leader are locked in a stand-off over the leaking of the Budget information.
The day started with the Opposition putting the government on the back foot by drip feeding announcements it said were from the Budget just two days out from its release.
By day's end the leaks were in the hands of police.
