Teachers' strike: 'Attitudes have hardened'

Primary, secondary and area school teachers are banding together for an historic joint strike in support of their pay claims on Wednesday.

In Hawke's Bay, 95 percent of schools have told the Ministry of Education they will be closed because of the strike, one of the highest figures in the country.

Perry Rush from Hastings Intermediate told RNZ education correspondent, John Gerritsen, school staff are determined to win a better deal from the government.
