Whāngarei netball game link to measles patient

Health authorities are still searching for anyone who attended a netball match after which a player became seriously ill and ended up in intensive care with measles complications.

The young player, who was unvaccinated, was admitted on Saturday with seizures and encephalitis - swelling of the brain.

The Public Health Unit in Whāngarei wants to hear from anyone who was at the game at the city's Kensington Stadium on Friday, May 17.
