Fox River rubbish will take years to clean up

From Morning Report, 7:52 am on 27 May 2019

Volunteers picking up the deluge of rubbish swept down the Fox river are predicting it'll take years to clean up the mess. It has been two months since a major flood in South Westland emptied about half the contents of the old landfill down the River. Those working on the cleanup say it should be taken just as seriously as the 2011 Rena oil spill in the Bay of Plenty. RNZ correspondent Anna Chinn is on the West Coast.
