Children's Commissioner urges trial ban on police chases

The Children's Commissioner is again calling for the police to rethink their policy of chasing young drivers. The police watchdog on Thursday found the police should not have given chase to a car in Palmerston North last year. The 15-year-old driver and a 12-year-old passenger died when the car crashed. Judge Andrew Becroft wants a trial ban on police pursuits of young people unless it's a matter of life and death. Judge Becroft joins Susie Ferguson in the studio.
