Civil Aviation Authority failings 'disappointing' - pilot

From Morning Report, 8:22 am on 24 May 2019

Airline pilots says despite a report showing failings by the aviation watchdog contributed to a fatal helicopter crash, the public should feel safe when flying. The director of the Civil Aviation Authority has conceded staff were confused about their safety watchdog role in the time leading to the Fox Glacier helicopter crash that claimed seven lives in 2015. Graeme Harris made the concession on Morning Report. The president of the Air Line Pilots' Association, Tim Robinson, says those failings were disappointing.
