Govt not fixing child poverty fast enough - advocates

The Child Poverty Action Group is disappointed in the new government targets that aim to halve child poverty within 10 years.

The Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern says the plan is an important step in tackling head-on the long-term challenge of child poverty in New Zealand.

But the action group says change will still not be fast enough. Susan St John is the group's economics adviser.
