Manchester City faces ban for financial law breach

Just two days after being crowned Premier League champions, Manchester City is facing a ban for breaking financial rules. Investigators from the European football governing body UEFA want Manchester City to be banned from the Champions League for one season if they are found guilty of breaking financial fair play rules. These are rules that were brought in to prevent clubs from spending beyond their means and to stamp out what its then president called "financial doping" within football.
