15km/h limit zones for e-scooters in Auckland

E-scooters will automatically slow to a maximum of 15 kilometres an hour in parts of Auckland under a new council licensing scheme. There will slow-speed zones in high use areas such as Takapuna, Devonport, Ponsonby and Karangahpae Roads, and around Mission Bay, Kohimarama and St Heliers The second phase of the city's e-scooter trial was announced yesterday, with Wellington-based Flamingo becoming the third company to take part, along with Lime and Wave.
