Social media spreading hate speech like wildfire - UN leader

The UN Secretary General has issued a stark warning that social media is spreading hate speech around the world like wildfire. On the last day of a whirlwind New Zealand visit, Antonio Guterres laid flowers at the Al Noor Mosque and the Linwood Mosque to honour those killed and injured in the March 15 massacre. As he left Al Noor Mosque, Mr Guterres told media that he wants the UN to tackle hate speech and ensure the safety of religious sites.
