More Muslim families seek help since March 15 - City Mission

From Morning Report, 8:39 am on 7 May 2019

The Christchurch City Mission is seeing an increase in the number of Muslim families asking for help in the wake of the March 15 mosque attacks. Many families have been left struggling to make ends meet after the death of their sole earner. More than $10 million was donated to Victim Support to help families in the aftermath of the attack, but so far only $3 million has been distributed which has angered many donors. A group supporting the families arranged for a lawyer to meet with Victim Support yesterday to find out what's happening with the money. Both sides are not returning calls from Morning Report. Matthew Mark is the Christchurch City Missioner. He talks to Corin Dann.
