M bovis eradication boost is bad timing - Federated Farmers

From Morning Report, 8:46 am on 6 May 2019

Federated Farmers says the timing could not have been worse for the Ministry for Primary Industries to require farmers' help in its response to Mycoplasma Bovis. The Ministry has ramped up its 870 million dollar eradication programme in the lead-up to stock being moved in prepartion for winter. As a result, more properties have to be inspected and in some cases cows will have to stay put. Federated Farmers National President Katie Milne says it's clear the Ministry isn't coping.
