Fiji trade union leader arrested

From Morning Report, 8:47 am on 2 May 2019

One of Fiji's best known trade unionists Felix Anthony has been arrested and questioned by police ahead of planned nationwide protests this weekend. The arrest of several unionists in recent days comes amid simmering labour disputes which threaten to overshadow a huge international gathering in the country this week. New Zealand unionists are planning a picket at the Fiji High Commission in Wellington today in support of Fiji's trade union leaders. RNZ Pacific's Sally Round reports.
