K-pop superstar group Blackpink storming world charts
While most Kiwi think of PSY's song 'Gangnam Style' as a quirky one hit wonder, its just one part of the K-Pop phenomenon enveloping the world. New Zealand is playing its part... both as consumers of K-Pop and in the lives of some of the genres' hottest stars. In Auckland K-pop dance classes are in high demand, and Korean recruitment agencies are travelling to New Zealand searching for the next big star. Two members of the group Blackpink - whose songs have topped charts around the world - have links to New Zealand. Our arts and entertainment reporter Katie Scotcher has more.
