Doctors' strike 'necessary' - union leader

From Morning Report, 8:15 am on 29 April 2019

Members of the Resident Doctors' Association have just walked off the job at all public hospitals except in Canterbury, which has been excluded due to the March 15 terrorist attacks. It's the fifth strike by the junior doctors and also the longest - it will run for five days until 8am Saturday. The union says District Health Boards are trying to roll back the safer roster provisions they agreed to two years ago. David Munro is a senior advocate for the Resident Doctors' Association.
