Criticism at substandard probation reports on offenders

Judges and lawyers say that probation officers are not writing good enough reports to help judges determine if someone should go to prison. They say that pre-sentencing reports are light on detail and others say it could make the difference between going to jail or not. Our Maori news correspondent Leigh-Marama McLachlan reports.
