New research could change large-scale firefighting

Large-scale firefighting as we know it could soon be a thing of the past. As climate change increases the risk of bush and other large fires, the Crown research institute Scion is developing new ways to predict how a fire will spread and its impact on nearby communities. The research could debunk firefighting science that's been widely accepted for decades. Science and Innovation reporter Charlie Dreaver has the details.
