Taupō kura most full school in New Zealand

From Morning Report, 6:12 am on 23 April 2019

A kura kaupapa Māori in Taupō was the fullest school in the entire country last year, on paper at least. Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Te Whakarewa i Te Reo ki Tūwharetoa had 147 students in July, it has only enough classrooms for 55 children. That put the school at 267 percent of its classroom capacity. The principal, Colleen Morehu, says many of the students are actually attending satellite schools elsewhere. She told our our education correspondent, John Gerritsen, the kura has even more children this year with 118 children at its Taupō site and it's crowded.
