Encouragement for Louisa Akavi's family to have hope

From Morning Report, 7:51 am on 18 April 2019

The parents of aid worker Kayla Mueller, who was kidnapped in Syria, say dealing with ISIS was mentally devastating, and the family of New Zealand nurse Louisa Akavi should stay hopeful that they will get her home. Louisa Akavi was working for the New Zealand Red Cross when she was kidnapped by ISIS six years ago. She was held captive with Kayla Mueller in Raqqa. Ms Mueller was killed in February 2015. Kayla's parents Carl and Marsha Mueller knew of Kayla's friendship with New Zealander Louisa Akavi. Susie Ferguson asks what it was like to have to keep quiet about what was going on with their daughter.
