Ardern unhappy with release of captured nurse's name

From Morning Report, 7:26 am on 16 April 2019

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern says the government would not have gone public with the case of a missing Red Cross nurse. Louisa Akavi was abducted by Islamic State in Syria in 2013, and the New Zealand government and media agreed not to say anything about the kidnapping lest it further endanger her. But on Monday the International Committee of the Red Cross went public in the New York Times with a plea for information about Ms Akavi's whereabouts, in the wake of the collapse of the IS caliphate. Jacinda Ardern talks to Philippa Tolley.
