A South Auckland hospital was warned patients in its surgery recovery ward were at extreme risk from fire but did not fix the building for more than three years. Documents released to RNZ show the Counties Manukau District Health Board was warned other buildings were also probably exposed to similar risk, but again waited years to check them out. Phil Pennington reports.
