Wellington councillor urges decision on NZ Bus future

From Morning Report, 7:47 am on 29 March 2019

A Greater Wellington Regional Councillor says a decision about the future of NZ Bus must be made soon, but replacing the troubled bus operator could be difficult. NZ Bus has been fined more than 17-thousand times in five months for failing to meet its contract requirements in Wellington. The fines have been for 3207 cancellations, 8451 late services and 6005 instances of using buses that were too small for the route. Daran Ponter is a Greater Wellington Regional Councillor. He talks to Philippa Tolley.
