Pressure on NZTA to regulate e-scooters

Pressure is rising on the Transport Agency to regulate e-scooters. It is being accused of breaching its statutory duties to assess whether e-scooters pose a risk on the roads and footpaths it regulates, and local body councillors are unhappy at the agency pushing the setting of controversial rules on to them.
