In the wake of the Christchurch mosque attacks, Stuff.co.nz has announced a crackdown on "comment section nasties". The changes include stricter rules for comments. Commenters who repeatedly breach the rules will be banned. There's also a list of topics which are on longer open to comments. That includes stories about the Christchurch mosque shootings and controversial issues like 1080, vaccines or sexual orientation. "Too often, our comments section has allowed casual prejudice to seep in from the fringes," the media outlet says. Stuff's editor in chief, Patrick Crewdson talks to Guyon Espiner.
