Green farmer John Hart hands in semi-automatic rifle

Firearm owners have been handing in their semi-automatics to police, in response to Friday's terror attack. The Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern is promising details on gun law changes will be announced by next week. In the meantime, the Prime Minister is encouraging owners to consider surrendering their guns. A Wairarapa Farmer and Green Party candidate John Hart told reporter Charlie Dreaver he's owned a semi-automatic rifle for about a decade, but the decision to hand it in was easy.
