Academic hopes Shaw attack won't cut access to politicians

Green Party co-leader James Shaw was attacked near the Botanic Gardens in Wellington while he walked to work on Thursday morning. A man has since been charged with the attack. A professor of politics at Massey University Richard Shaw says it would be a huge shame if this attack meant higher secuirty for politicians as the level of access the public have to them in New Zealand is unique. He speaks to Guyon Espiner.
