DHBs owe staff millions in holiday pay

From Morning Report, 6:10 am on 12 March 2019

Some health boards are facing bills that could run into the millions because they've been underpaying staff for years. The Government says the boards and unions are working to figure out which health workers are owed how much under complex law governing holiday pay. But the DHBs have been working on this for three years and are still unable to say how much is owed to how many of their 70,000 thousand current workers - and thousands more former employees. The Workplace Relations and Safety Minister Iain Lees-Galloway tells our reporter Phil Pennington the mess is a legacy of the previous National-led Government.
