Illegal cannabis growers want in on legal market
Hundreds of people growing cannabis illegally have contacted an Auckland Medicinal Cannabis company to see if they could be in the running to make a best selling product. Last year the government announced it would hold an amnesty allowing illicit growers to come forward with unique plant strains. Bio-tech company Helius believes local cannabis strains offer a potential treasure trove of therapeutic compounds, that could rival the best in the world. Insight's reporter Teresa Cowie visits its factory to find out more.
