Labour blocking China expert from select committee, National says

National's Nick Smith claims Labour MPs have blocked a China politics expert from speaking to a select committee about foreign interference in elections. Christchurch professor Anne-Marie Brady wanted to submit on the committee's inquiry into the 2017 election. But the committee chair Raymond Huo says her submission's come five months too late, as they closed to the public in September last year. Dr Smith tells political reporter Craig McCulloch, that just doesn't fly.
