Stateless man in Australian detention for 9 years

A stateless man who's been held in immigration detention in Australia for the past nine years had been trying to get into New Zealand when he was caught. RNZ has also established Immigration New Zealand rejected a subsequent request by him to resettle here. The man, known as M47 - a pseudonym he was given by a court - doesn't know his parents, his age or even where he was born. His lawyer, Alison Battison from the non-governmental organisation Human Rights for All, tells our reporter Matthew Theunissen about his quite extraordinary life.
