Police officer's future unclear after not guilty verdict
The career of a top Northland Police officer remains unclear, following him being found not guilty of four sexual assault charges. On Thursday at the High Court in Auckland, Detective Inspector Kevin Burke was acquitted of two charges of sexual violation by unlawful sexual connection, and two of indecent assault. But neither the police or Mr Burke will say when, or if, he'll go back to work. Joanna MacKenzie was in court.
