Political pressure likely for Shipley in Mainzeal fallout

From Morning Report, 7:18 am on 27 February 2019

Dame Jenny Shipley is expected to come under political pressure to give up two high-profile director positions in the wake of a High Court ruling on the Mainzeal collapse. On Tuesday, the court ruled in a civil case that Dame Jenny and three other Mainzeal directors had been "reckless" in allowing the construction firm to keep trading for nine years while insolvent. She's been ordered to pay creditors $6 million. Dame Jenny still holds several senior director positions, including chair of the China Construction Bank NZ, and she's an executive board member of The New Zealand China Council. Political reporter Jo Moir speaks to Philippa Tolley.
