Record number of immigration decisions overturned

Immigration New Zealand's decisions have been successfully appealed more times in the last year than at any time in its history. New figures show its appeal tribunal allowed 41 per cent of appeals, compared to fewer than a third the year before. An immigration lawyer, Simon Laurent, told Gill Bonnett mistakes are being made and some immigrants who should have got residence, will not have appealed.
