House of Drag winner's event posts taken down by Facebook

The winner from the TV show House of Drag and cabaret show producer, Hugo Grrrl has raised thousands of dollars on Pledge Me to help pay for new advertising, after Facebook deleted more than 100 events on his page because they'd been reported as inappropriate. The Wellington-based performer, also known as George Fowler, advertises all his late-night cabaret, drag shows, burlesque and other events solely on Facebook. He told our reporter Anusha Bradley they were all deleted on Saturday afternoon, and attempts to get answers from Facebook have been unsuccessful. After investigating the incident, Facebook said it had detected an error which blocked Hugo Grrrl's page from posting events. It says it has now removed this block and content can again be posted. But George says none of the events that were taken down have been reinstated.
