Nelson fire evacuees wait to return home

Civil Defence says it's working on plans to let residents evacuated from the Nelson fire zone back into their homes. It expects to give more details this morning. In the meantime, people evacuated from Wakefield are being taken through the town in convoys if they need to get to the other side. Those convoys began at 6am this morning. They are running for extended hours on weekdays this week ending at 7pm each night.
