From Morning Report, 8:28 am on 8 February 2019

The Transport Agency has done a big u-turn and is no longer trying to make 1,400 owners in Auckland pay to recertify their towbars. But the costs of the crackdown on road safety checks is being felt in Cambridge. A local shuttle operator says 10 jobs are in jeopardy beacsue the Agency has revoked the Transport Service Licence of his firm Roadcat Shuttles. Dave Mr Craven, who's 71, says he pays five thousand dollars a week in wages to drivers who could now be forced on to the dole. He hasn't handed back his licences yet, saying the agency is being unfair.
