Deported Indian students feel used by Labour MPs

From Morning Report, 8:10 am on 31 January 2019

Indian students who were deported from New Zealand say their lives are ruined, and Labour MPs who promised to help have abandoned them. Jacinda Ardern and Andrew Little publicly supported nine students while in opposition, when the students took sanctuary at Auckland's Unitarian Church to avoid being sent home. The group claimed they were victims of a dodgy Indian immigration agency, which falsified documents on their behalf without their knowledge. Now, some of the students are speaking out, saying they feel like they were pawns of Labour electioneering. Their lawyer, Alastair McClymont, speaks to Gyles Beckford.
