Sewage spill into New Plymouth stream draws ire of locals

Residents of Bell Block in New Plymouth have described how the Mangati Stream ran white after a sewage spill which killed dozens of fish and eels. The Taranaki Regional Council says it responded to a significant discharge from a New Plymouth District Council sewage pumping station last week - but hapū say it's a common occurrence.
